Study support that travels with you, wherever you are.
Not every student needs a full-time programs — some just need consistent, expert support alongside their regular schooling. This page covers our flexible, ongoing help: study groups, homework support, and exam planning, available online so students can access it from anywhere.
Every tutor at EILA is a qualified, background-checked teacher — many with 10+ years' classroom experience across primary, secondary, and adult education. We start with the student as a whole person, not just a subject grade — building confidence alongside content, working closely with families, and, where a student is already enrolled at a school, coordinating with their classroom teacher so tutoring reinforces what's happening in class rather than working against it.
IELTS & Cambridge Study Groups
Small, structured group sessions built entirely around IELTS and Cambridge exam formats. Students work through realistic practice tasks under timed conditions, get detailed feedback on writing and speaking responses, and learn targeted strategies for each section of the test — not generic English tips, but techniques specific to how these exams are actually marked. Sessions run on a regular weekly schedule, so students build momentum with the same group and instructor over time, and can track progress against real band-score benchmarks as the test date approaches.
Homework Support
One-on-one help with homework across all subjects and all ages and grade levels — this isn't limited to English. Whether it's a primary school maths worksheet or a senior high school assignment, a tutor works through the material with the student until they genuinely understand it, not just until the task is finished. We pay particular attention to students who've lost confidence with a subject — through a learning difficulty, anxiety, or simply falling behind — and rebuild that confidence step by step alongside the coursework itself. Sessions are booked flexibly around school deadlines, so support is available when it's actually needed.
Exam Prep & Planning
Personalised exam preparation and planning, including dedicated O.P. (Overall Position) preparation for students working towards Australian tertiary entrance requirements. This goes beyond content review: students get a study plan mapped against their actual exam dates, guidance on prioritising subjects and topics, and regular check-ins to adjust the plan as exams approach — built for students who know what they're aiming for but need help structuring the path to get there.
One-to-one or small group
Every session runs live over video with a qualified teacher — never pre-recorded, and never an automated lesson.
One-to-One Tutoring
The whole session belongs to one student. The tutor works at their pace, on their material, and can stop the moment something isn't landing — which is what makes it the fastest option for a student who has fallen behind or lost confidence in a subject.
- Any subject, primary through senior secondary
- Session pace set by the student, not a syllabus
- Booked flexibly around school deadlines
Small Group Classes
Groups stay small enough that every student speaks in every session. Learning alongside others adds the one thing a solo lesson can't — real conversation with peers, discussion, and the confidence that comes from being understood by someone other than your teacher.
- IELTS & Cambridge exam preparation groups
- Regular weekly schedule with the same group
- Speaking practice with peers, not just the tutor
What a session looks like
Live video, a real teacher, and a student who gets to ask questions — every session, whatever the subject.
