About Us

Not a traditional classroom — experiential, life-skills learning built around who you're becoming.

Teressa Everton, Founder of EILA
Founder Story

"Life Learning English is a need, which isn't achieved in schools today."

A registered teacher from Brisbane, Australia has lived and taught in Taiwan for six years. She has taught all methods from Mainstream English in Australia and English as a Second Language in both international prestigious schools and the local Japanese/English education system. This business first opened in Taiwan and continues to grow by providing professional English tutoring, and language learning camps/programs in both countries.

Teressa Everton soon learned "where" the students are having major problems and "why." She has developed her teaching methods and programs around the major problem areas by applying real English learning to the individual needs of all students — in all subject matters. Life Learning English is a "need," which isn't achieved in schools today.

This is why she personally invites you and your learning institution to come and join us. She is also the founder of these fun, caring Australian and Taiwan Language Camps and Tutoring Services for all countries. Her belief: "Our professional English learning programs are the languages for today, tomorrow and many more years to come, with a real teaching background to back this up."

Why Choose Us

Six pillars of the EILA approach

Life Skills English

Learn the English you'll actually use — renting a home, opening a bank account, visiting a doctor, applying for jobs, and handling interviews with confidence.

English Testing

Structured preparation for IELTS, PTE, and Cambridge exams, including full mock exams and dedicated O.P. (Overall Position) preparation.

Online Tutoring Class

One-to-one and small group tutoring across all subjects and grade levels, tailored to where each student is right now.

University / School Pathway

Direct-entry agreements and an entrance guarantee into partner schools, colleges, and universities — a clear, supported route from English study into formal education.

Language Camps

Immersive holiday programs set in regional Australia — choose 7, 10 or 14-day stays — where English is practised naturally through activity, adventure, and daily life rather than a textbook.

Work Experience & Visa Assistance

Support securing real work experience placements, plus guidance through Student Visa and 407 Training Visa applications — including pathways into 482 permanent residency for you and your family — and broader immigration questions.
