EILA's International English Sunshine Coast Programs uses an English-in-action model. Students don't simply study English inside a classroom — they use it while participating in authentic Sunshine Coast accommodation, coastal, cultural, recreation, wildlife, aquatic and community experiences.
From cooking and budgeting to swimming, science and Australian cultural activities, every part of the day is an opportunity to apply real English to a real, coastal setting.

- English Class: Greetings, introducing yourself, name/age/country/school, "I am..." sentences and basic pronunciation.
- Life Skills: My Sunshine Coast Stay — following instructions, reading signs, room vocabulary and responsibility.
- Experience: Water View & Twin Bedroom, Waterfront Lounge and Riverside Pool — accommodation and water-safety English.
- Evening: Australian storytelling, group communication and a Sunshine Coast Journal (5–10 sentences).
Sentence Writing, Budgeting & Recreation
- English Class: Sentence writing — nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives and subject + verb + object.
- Maths: Money and budgeting — Australian currency, prices, addition, subtraction and change.
- Experience: Family Bowling and Neon Mini Golf — numbers, scoring, directions and measurement.
- Evening: Vocabulary Bee, Bingo Night and a reflection journal.
Verbs, Reading & Coastal Adventure
- English Class: Verbs and tenses — present simple, present continuous and past simple.
- Reading: Comprehension using a Sunshine Coast coastal or activity text.
- Experience: Family Bike Ride and the Scenic Boardwalk — action verbs, directions and nature vocabulary.
- Evening: Charades, communication games and a reading journal.
Sentence Patterns, Arts & Australian Culture
- English Class: Sentence patterns — affirmative, negative, questions and short answers.
- Experience: Arts and crafts, then the Ginger Factory or Big Pineapple cultural experience.
- Culture: Australian culture and heritage, followed by phonetics and speaking practice.
- Evening: Talent Show preparation and performance.
Adjectives, Cooking & Teamwork
- English Class: Describing people, places and experiences using descriptive adjectives.
- Experience: Kids Cooking Class — ingredients, measurements, recipes and kitchen safety.
- Recreation: Laser Tag or Family Bowling, then Beach Day or Beach Picnic.
- Evening: Treasure hunt and group games.
Conversation, Science & Cultural Exchange
- English Class: Everyday conversation — asking for help, ordering food, shopping, asking directions.
- Science English: Water, weather, marine life, wildlife and coastal environments.
- Experience: Australia Zoo or Kangaroo Feeding, then Aquarium Encounter or Underwater Tunnel.
- Evening: Group games and English reflection.
English Presentation & Graduation
- Assessment: Graduation preparation and an English speech — "My Sunshine Coast Experience."
- Experience: Treetop Adventure or Indoor Climbing, then Whale Watching or Kangaroo Encounter.
- Evening: Graduation celebration, final reflection and the final English evaluation.
Objective: English Development & Independent Communication — the same Sunshine Coast environment, with students producing more English independently.

Primary, Middle & Senior School Differentiation
English level and school age are treated separately — a Senior School student can be a Beginner English learner, while a Primary student may be Intermediate for their age.
